Schwarzenberg in general
As the wife of a sublime poet travelled back home she declared in 1857: "the surroundings are sensational! The houses are so close to woodland but you are still at ease and not constricted by the forest!" This village - she was talking about - is situated in the middle of Bregenzerwald; altitude 700 m (2297 feet) and 1.800 residents.
